Worldwide Solutions -
for better building

Product Range

HeidelbergCement offers a wide range of high quality products. Alongside classical building materials, we produce special building products for diverse applications. Our core activities include the production and distribution of cement and aggregates, the two essential raw materials for the manufacture of concrete. Our product range is substantially complemented by downstream ready-mixed concrete and asphalt activities. Furthermore, HeidelbergCement offers services such as worldwide trading in cement and coal by sea.

Active in more than 40 countries

Due to the heavy weight of cement and aggregates compared with their price, production is usually located in close proximity to the sales markets. The cement transportation radius by road normally does not exceed 200 km. The delivery radius for aggregates and ready-mixed concrete by road is less than 100 km. Consequently, we have local production sites in the more than 40 countries in which we offer building materials. We currently operate 87 cement plants (plus 15 as part of joint ventures), more than 600 quarries and aggregate pits, and well over 1,000 ready-mixed concrete production sites worldwide.

Use of our Products

Our products are used for the construction of houses, traffic infrastructure, and commercial and industrial facilities, thus meeting the demands of a growing world population for housing, mobility, and economic development. Sustainable construction and construction materials are playing an ever more important role for us.

New Theatre Pilsen - HeidelbergCements Reference Objects

The Czech city of Pilsen has a new architectural highlight: the New Theatre, which is part of the city's main theatre venue – the J.K. Tyl Theatre. The building, which is equipped with state-of-the-art theatre technology, has two auditoriums – one with a capacity of approximately 500 seats, and a smaller one for 150-200 spectators.

It is the first building in the Czech Republic with a facade comprising 600 m3 of coloured concrete. Another unique concrete element of the theatre building is the “bubble” facade on its south side.
