IT Controller (f/m/d)

Are you keen to be the key driver of managing and optimizing our IT financial activities and performance? Then join our IT Finance & Governance Team in Heidelberg as an IT Controller (f/m/d).

In this role you will take on the responsibility of overseeing the financial aspects of our IT projects, budgeting, cost analysis, and providing valuable insights for informed decision-making within the IT department and the broader organization. Additionally, you will spearhead the monthly Financial Performance Management Cycle to ensure continuous improvement.


Your next challenge

  • Coordinate the budgeting process for IT departments as well as projects and collaborate with IT leadership to develop and manage IT budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  • Lead the monthly Financial Performance Management Cycle, working closely with IT teams to set key financial performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
  • Monitor budget adherence, identifying deviations and working with project managers and stakeholders to address budget overruns or discrepancies.
  • Conduct cost analysis and identify areas for cost optimization in IT operations, procurement, and projects.
  • Evaluate the financial impact of proposed IT initiatives and projects, assessing their feasibility and potential return on investment.
  • Lead the implementation and management of IT-Recharge, ensuring equitable allocation of IT costs across departments and projects.

Your profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or professional certifications (e.g., CMA, CPA, CFA) are a plus.
  • Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and cost management, preferably within the IT sector.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
