Analyst / Associate Strategy & Development / M&A (f/m/d)
As part of a small team that advises CEO, CFO & the whole Managing Board on strategy and manages development & M&A initiatives, the role will allow to make a significant contribution to some of the Group’s most important projects.
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and proactive team player who loves working in a high intensity environment (willing to get his/her hands dirty and play whatever role the team needs), has an outstanding level of curiosity and very strong analytical skills to grasp quickly the fond of complex strategic issues, while always aiming to make significant contributions.

Your next challenge
The tasks will vary over time but will include a mix of:Contribute to the development of the company’s strategy (Group, Area & Country level)
- Strategy formulation, regular portfolio review, strategic planning process
- Construction market and strategic competitor analysis, including industry trends
- Communication with senior management
- Identification / assessment of potential targets
- Steering of acquisitions and divestments, incl. due diligence and auction processes
- Coordination of internal / third party stakeholders, support in negotiations
- Management / support of carve-out and integration projects (PMI)
- Transversal project / program management (often cross-functional)
- Presentation of findings to senior management or internal steering committees
- Topics can span broadly, depending on strategic priorities at a given time (e.g. CO2, Digital)
- At times, multiple high priority projects simultaneously
- Preparation of the strategic review of country-led development projects
- Coordination of the review with other functions (technical, financial, environment)
- Liaison with country management
Your profile
- University degree in business, economics or engineering (or similar)
- First professional experience (internships, or young professional of up to 2 years), ideally in investment banking, transaction services or management consulting
- Clear “getting-things-done” mentality, i.e. tenacity to overcome independently potential obstacles
- Strong quantitative capabilities, very structured thinking, and proficiency in Excel / PowerPoint
- Executive level oral and written communication skills
- Fluent in English, other languages a plus
