Agile Requirements Engineer (f/m/d) - HConnect

Our cross-functional agile teams work on the pulse of the digitalization of Heidelberg Materials. We build products for our external customers and internal colleagues tailored to their needs and aimed at making their daily work easier. Our HConnect suite of products is focused on offering digital touchpoints along the entire customer journey, like our Ready-Mix Concrete Tracking and Order Management app OnSite which is build around the needs of customers handling concrete on construction sites, or our cross-business line website Hub, which provides value to a wide range of customer personas from Logistics, Accounting, Sales and General Management.

We consider ourselves as truly passionate in what we do and we have a strong inner drive to have an impact in our global organization with the products we built. While we build global digital products for the international customer base of Heidelberg Materials, helping teams understand the balance between local requirements and core feature value propositions is a key challenge of the role.

You will be working closely as part of our development teams to bring features to our customers, end-2-end, collaborating closely with IT teams of ERP systems, local business stakeholders and the product owners, tech leads and engineering managers of your and potentially dependent teams to understand data models, processes and technical dependencies.

In order to strengthen our product teams, we are looking for a Requirements Engineer based in Heidelberg.

  • Align with other product teams and make sure that the resolution of a user story meets the requirements but is also approached consistently across our products
  • Support our product teams to consider removing technical debt, adding monitoring and alerting as well as keeping focus on the key user value drivers when refining new features
  • Structure requests from our global user base and international stakeholder into manageable development pieces of value that build on each other and tie into our product roadmaps
  • Analyze processes and ERP systems of Heidelberg Materials to enable Digital Customer Journeys that require either data from these systems or that need to write data to these
  • Bring the end-2-end perspective to new features and analyze dataflows across different systems and teams
  • Keep the backlog of the product team always in a healthy state, ensure a continuous flow of user stories refined and ready to develop and look after our Definition of Done during the sprint

Your profile

  • University degree in computer science, business informatics or a closely related field
  • You either bring relevant work experience or as a junior you might come from a top university or let outstanding grades speak for yourself
  • Strong plus would be any experience in an IT consultancy for SAP R3 or S4/HANA
  • Any prior experience as a Business Analyst would be helpful
  • Experience in a large global organization is a strong plus
  • Some experience with digital products such as mobile apps, web apps, API’s, Cloud infrastructure would give you an easy start
  • Very strong coordination and communication skills are a clear must for this role
  • Bright mind and structured thinker
