Vác Railway Station

From July 2013 to July 2015, HeidelbergCement’s joint venture Duna-Dráva Cement was involved in the rebuilding and modernisation of the railway station in Vác, Hungary, and in construction of its associated infrastructure elements.

Duna-Dráva Cement delivered 15,760 m3 of ready-mixed concrete for this large-scale project, which included special solutions, such as the usage of a pump pipe below the rails and night time concreting operations.

The high-quality of the concrete was absolutely key to meeting the construction specifications. Therefore, tests were conducted at every stage of the work, which confirmed the excellent performance of Duna-Dráva Cement’s products.
