German education system for Kazakhstan.

The present state industry development programme in Kazakhstan generates high demand for skilled workers – particularly in the oil and gas industry, as well as the construction, engineering and services sectors. This is why the government plans to reform the country's vocational school system by introducing a dual system of professional education based on the model employed by Germany.

In 2012, at a meeting between the President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayew, and German Federal Chancellor, Angela Merkel, an initiative was announced to implement the principles of the German dual vocational education system in Kazakhstan.
