Working Student / Intern (f/m/d) Carbon Capture and Utilization/Storage

The Technologies & Partnerships department is seeking for an Working student or Intern (f/m/d) to support the development of a range of Carbon Capture and Utilization/Storage (CCUS) projects in close collaboration within our Technologies & Partnerships department which is an essential part of our Sustainability Office, thus contributing to the global CO2 Neutrality Roadmap of Heidelberg Materials at the headquarters in Heidelberg.

Your next challenge

  • Contribute to the CO2 Neutrality Roadmap 2050, i.e., pro-actively shape the success story of Heidelberg Materials’ decarbonization journey
  • Support the development of a range of CCUS (Carbon Capture and Utilization/Storage) projects in close collaboration within our Technologies & Partnerships (TP) department (as part of our Sustainability Office)
  • Interaction with our various business entities in different countries and also external partner firms is possible
  • As an integral part of the Team, working on own projects with own responsibilities (with clear guidance), preparing analyses, business cases, and presentations
  • Support the organisation of our annual CCUS Top Group Seminar (w/ internal and external stakeholders)
  • Contribute to the early scouting of new technologies and value-chains in CCUS
  • Support the TP department in its role of building and exchanging know-how (research, scouting, and structuring reports)

Your profile

  • Technical and/or business administration Bachelor's or Master's degree studies, with a strong interest in sustainability/carbon capturing/decarbonization
  • Keen to dive into the detailed technical and financial aspects of CCUS projects
  • Ability to digest new information fast
  • Experience with or willingness to learn Power Point, Excel and other Microsoft office tools or AI generative/productivity tool
  • Dynamic attitude and willingness to interact with a wide range of external and internal stakeholders
