(Senior) ESG Controller (f/m/d)

As (Senior) ESG Controller (f/m/d) you will guide and drive the development of effective ESG data reporting processes with strong governance and internal controls to ensure quality, integrity, and assurance for Group ESG data. You will work closely together with other departments, especially Group ESG, and the country organizations to meet the various existing and upcoming reporting requirements such as the EU CSRD, EU Taxonomy, IFRS S1 and S2 or investor requests.

You will directly report to the Head of ESG Controlling. The position is located in Heidelberg, Germany.


Your next challenge

  • Collect and provide ESG data in compliance with internal and external reporting requirements
  • Develop and maintain data reporting processes and internal control systems to ensure reliable ESG information
  • Provide ESG data reporting guidance, support, and training to country organizations, ensure integration of ESG and financial data
  • Drive automatization of ESG data collection and reporting across all business lines
  • Organize the audit of ESG data
  • Ensure close cooperation with the ESG department

Your profile

  • Academic degree in business administration, engineering, or other relevant fields
  • Profound relevant work experience, preferably in audit or controlling and reporting related functions
  • Very good analytical and conceptual skills, strong affinity to data and numbers as well as attention to details
  • Good IT skills, especially with regards to Excel are a requirement, additional knowledge of ESG reporting software is a plus
  • Interest and knowledge of sustainability matters
  • Fluent German and English skills (favorable C-Level), additional languages on B level are an asset
  • Willigness to travel abroad
