Project Engineer (f/m/d) Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS)

For our Global Competence Center Cement (Global CCC) we are looking for a Project Engineer (f/m/d) Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) to support our growing number of Carbon Capture projects.
Your place of work will be Heidelberg, Germany, and you will report to the Head of Decarbonization & Process Innovation.

Your next challenge


General
  • Support development of large CCS CAPEX projects
  • Reports to Head of Decarbonization and Process Innovation

Specific

  • You will provide support to CCS projects during, pre-Feasibility, Feasibility, FEED and EPC stages
  • You will prepare tender documents in the fields of engineering, plant design, equipment- and plant supply, construction services
  • You will evaluate tenders and participate in the supplier selection process with special focus on layout and mechanical design
  • You will support preparation of budgets in cooperation with Project Managers and calculation of investment cost return
  • You will carry out design reviews and negotiate with contractors’ technical executions and solutions to create added value for the company
  • You will coordinate interfaces between different disciplines like process, civil, electrical, plant logistic etc.

Your profile



  • Must have 5+ years’ experience in industrial project development and execution
  • Accredited – 4 year Engineering degree; Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical
  • Experience working in project development, (Feasibility Studies or FEED) and execution. Commissioning and plant operation experience is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and self-management
  • Very good communication skills and high social competence
  • Ability to work in an international, multicultural team
  • Fluency in English
  • Willingness to travel (up to 50%)
