Human Rights Manager Supply Chain (f/m/d)

Therefore, to strengthen and further develop the human rights due diligence in our global supply chain, we are seeking to recruit a Human Rights Manager Supply Chain (f/m/d).

In this position you will be empowered to drive the enforcement of human rights, social and environmental due diligence requirements for the global scope of Heidelberg Materials Group's suppliers. You will have an exciting cross-functional coordination role in an international setting and the key to your success will be the collaboration with the procurement and various other functions on Group level. Beyond the overall coordination task regarding supplier due diligence, the management of human rights within the global supply chain will be the core of your responsibility.

You will be part of the Group Compliance & Data Protection team and report directly to the Head of Compliance & Data Protection. The position is located in Heidelberg, Germany.


Your next challenge



  • Coordinator on Group level for meeting and maintaining Heidelberg Materials' overall human rights, social and environmental due diligence requirements in the global supply chain
  • Close collaboration with Group Procurement, ESG, Health & Safety teams and the compliance teams in the Heidelberg Materials local country entities with regards to assessing and mitigating risks of global suppliers
  • Defining and monitoring supply chain related KPIs, documenting human rights compliance issues and measures in the supply chain and lead internal and external reporting (e.g. according to the Act on Corporate Due Diligence Obligations in Supply Chains)
  • General support to Group Procurement in all human rights issues within the supply chain, implementing preventive measures, maintaining supply chain related human rights policies, developing human rights e-learning content and campaigns for suppliers, etc.
  • Support in coordinating audits at suppliers (incl. follow-up on corrective action plans)

Your profile



  • University degree in e.g., business administration, law, economics, social sciences, etc.
  • Advanced project management skills and experience in a cross-functional role, preferably in an international group setup
  • Experience in procurement and/or human rights or compliance management
  • Proven interdisciplinary work ability and team orientation
  • Intercultural awareness and diplomatic skills
  • Outstanding personal integrity and trustworthiness
  • Excellent English language skills, German is an advantage
