HCM Suite Specialist (f/m/d) for Talent and Learning

For our Headquarters in Heidelberg, we are looking for an HCM Suite Specialist (f/m/d) for Talent and Learning who shapes with us the cultural and digital transformation of Heidelberg Materials. In this position, you will be a member of the international Global Workday Team within Group Human Resources.

This position is limited to 16 months as it is a parental leave replacement.

Your next challenge


Global Product Owner for Workday Talent & Learning
  • You act as Global Product Owner for the Workday Modules Talent & Learning and maintain/improve the global configuration of the system in your field of responsibility while maintaining a proper documentation
  • You support local country roles with Admin tasks such as troubleshooting, resolving of system issues and mass enrollments to learnings
  • You help deliver the set Roadmap for 2024 and shape the roadmap going forward for Workday Talent & Learning based on the guidance of the functional HR team
  • You assess and prioritize business requests for Workday Talent & Learning in collaboration with other Product Team Members from functional and digital departments
  • You proactively assess new Workday features, consult the Workday Community and exchange with other Workday customers
  • You upskill yourself in the usage of Workday through trainings

Reporting and User Rights
  • You assess reporting requirements and give guidance to the technical team to build/adjust reports or do it on your own
  • You are building up solid knowledge of the user right concept for Workday and apply it adequately to the Learning & Talent Business Processes and Reports

Collaboration with the Business
  • You interact and consult Key Users in more than 50 countries globally in the usage of Workday Talent & Learning
  • You exchange with other Stakeholders and Content owners across the company such as Group Compliance, IT Security, Area HR
  • You seek for good adoption of Workday by understanding and responding to the business needs


Your profile

  • You have a university degree in Business Administration or IT studies
  • Preferably you have already first working experience in Human Resources, IT or consultancy
  • Knowledge of at least one HR Suite, preferably Workday, is a plus; alternatively, you have gained experience with Digital Learning Tools
  • First knowledge of agile project management tools such as JIRA is a plus
  • You are a team player who enjoys collaborating in an inclusive and trusting working environment
  • You work with pronounced analytical and quality mindset
  • You are proactive, well-organized, and able to work independently
  • You have very good English language skills as it is primary team language – German and other languages are a plus
