Head of Security Office (f/m/d)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Security Office to lead our global enterprise-wide team of Security Officers in Group, area, region & country. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive knowledge of Cyber Security protocols and practices, and has a proven track record of managing and driving success for Cyber Security teams in a large-scale corporate, industrial environment. The risk-based strategy and roadmap in a production focused environment will be designed, defined, and executed by the Head of Security Office globally.

One of the key functions is to focus on Cyber Security related products and processes across all Heidelberg Materials business-lines and act as a trusted advisor for relevant stakeholders in the business departments and to the VP Security (Group CISO).
The Head of Security Office is responsible to maintain the life cycle of Cyber Security relevant products, pursues trends and maintains a network of experts on the market. The Head of Security Office is taking the responsibility of strategic Cyber Security projects and ensures in-time delivery as well as quality. That requires close communication with internal business stakeholders, external vendors, and the VP Security.

To maintain the confidentiality, integrity and availability of products and processes, regular Cyber Security audits will be planned, executed, and analyzed. Results will be evaluated by the Team of Security Officers from Group, Area, Region & Country. The Head of Security Office accepts responsibility and is accountable to share results to business stakeholders and the VP Security.
The Head of Security Office will additionally oversee Cyber Security related programs & projects, ensuring quality, time and budget which is derived from cross-functional requirements gathered in Heidelberg Materials.

Your next challenge

  • Designing, executing & improving Heidelberg Materials global Cyber Security strategy and roadmap in cooperation with all relevant business lines, stakeholders, and the VP Security (Group CISO)
  • Provide effective leadership, professional as well as personal development and guidance to a team of Security Officers in Group, Area, region & country (20 FTE)
  • Taking over accountability for all Cyber Security key initiatives, ensuring quality, budget and timeline
  • Enabling the Security Officers globally to link all Cyber Security program to material loss mitigation scenarios by defining a set of Cyber Security & financial KPIs to prove value of investments
  • Maintain effective communication with Senior Management, providing regular updates on Cyber Security strategy & roadmap as well as risks, vulnerabilities & threats to Heidelberg Material business
  • Monitoring and ensuring compliance with Cyber Security policies and standards across Heidelberg Materials.
  • Tight collaboration with other Heidelberg Materials departments to identify and prioritize demands & requirements in alignment with the Heidelberg Materials global Cyber Security strategy
  • Translate business needs in demand & requirements inside Heidelberg Materials and design the Cyber Security program & roadmap of Heidelberg Materials
  • Promoting a secure first mindset globally through training and cross-functional awareness campaigns in Heidelberg Materials
  • Onboarding, mentoring & developing the Security Officer Junior, Expert and Senior staff globally
  • Direct report to Heidelberg Materials VP Security (Group CISO) and member of Cyber Security leadership team

Your profile

  • Master’s degree in business informatics, Computer Science, or a related field and/or relevant work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within Cyber Security in a global and/or production focused environment
  • A minimum of 10 years professional experience in IT, OT and/or Cyber Security programs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Previous experience as a Head of or Principal Information Security Officer is an advantage
  • Self-Starter mentality with willingness to actively shape the current as well as future global Cyber Security strategy of Heidelberg Materials
  • Experience to lead an international team and drive a global Cyber Security program
  • Experience in collaboration with nearshore resources is an advantage
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to act as an interface between business departments, the internal IT-departments, and the VP Security
  • Security Certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CISA) or willingness to certify
  • Ability to identify, adopt and understand Cyber Security trends & risks to business
  • Good technology- & service-based vendor knowledge as well as solid network in the security market
  • Excellent level-appropriate communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent language skills in German and English
  • The candidate must be willing and able to travel up to 40% globally of the work time
