For our Global Competence Center Cement (Global CCC) we are looking for a Engineering Manager (f/m/d) Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) to support our growing number of Carbon Capture projects.

Your place of work will be Heidelberg, Germany, and you will report to the Head of Decarbonization & Process Innovation.

Your next challenge


General

  • Responsible for supporting large CAPEX projects in support of group business strategies
  • Responsible for managing sub project components within a larger project
  • Develop technical feasibility study and oversee the detailed design.
  • You will report to the Head of Decarbonization & Process Innovation
Specific
  • You will lead a multi-disciplinary team of technical specialists and engineers, responsible for developing and delivering the project (Front End Engineering Design) FEED study and the ultimate project.
  • Responsible for the development of project cost estimation system
  • Coordinate information requests and data exchanges through the project development phases, ensure learnings are captured and disseminated in a structured nature
  • Prepare and deliver project reports and presentations, including planning and progress reports, management reports and executive summaries
  • Manage the preparation and assembly of (Carbon Capture) CC funding applications using internal and external resources.
  • Oversee the preparation of technical pre-feasibility and feasibility (FEED) studies, including cost estimates for the application of CC at our prioritized manufacturing plants. Collaborated with internal technical specialists and operations personnel and outside consultants, equipment suppliers, technology providers, and contractors.
  • Manage the procurement of goods and services by preparing tender and related procurement documents, reviewing bids, and participating in the evaluation and associated purchasing activities.
  • Organize multi-discipline technical and operational reviews of documents and development plans, including model reviews, Reliability Availability and Maintainability (RAM) analysis, and active reviews, including HAZOP studies

Your profile

  • Must have 10+ years’ experience in industrial project development and execution
  • Accredited – 4 year Engineering degree; Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical
  • Experience in working in project development, (Feasibility Studies or FEED) and execution. Superior level of knowledge of project engineering and management concepts, principles and practices gained through practical experience
  • Solid understanding of characteristics and challenges of various project execution methods and relative contractual, legal, logistics, personnel and organizational requirements
  • Strong organizational skills and self-management
  • Superior skills in creating a detailed plan of a project in all its phases and preparation of contingency plans
  • Very good communication skills and high social competence
  • Ability to work in an international, multicultural team
  • Excellent oral and written English language skills
  • Willingness to travel (up to 30%)
