Data Engineer for SAP BW/4HANA (f/m/d)

As a Data Engineer (f/m/d) in Customer & Operations Services Analytics, a sub team of Data & AI you will be responsible for developing SAP BW/4HANA solutions in the area of “Sales and Logistics”. Your expertise in SAP BW/4HANA and data warehousing will play a crucial role in enabling our organization to derive meaningful insights, fulfill legal requirements and make data-driven decisions. You will have the opportunity to work with business stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions.

Your next challenge

  • Design and development of SAP BW/4HANA solutions from data extraction, data modeling to reporting
  • Create and optimize SAP Hana views, to support complex reporting and analytics requirements and leverage the in-memory capabilities of SAP BW/4HANA
  • Collaborate with our business stakeholder to understand their requirements, challenges, and objectives and translate them into technical specifications
  • Project member in the cross functional program for the transformation from SAP ECC to S/4HANA to manage the impact of the migration for our current sales and logistics reporting solutions
  • Document technical solutions and provide trainings and knowledge transfer for our internal customer


Your profile

  • University degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in developing SAP BW/4HANA data models and SAP HANA views
  • Ability to analyze requirements and translate them into technical solutions in collaboration with the business department
  • Proven programming knowledge in SQL or ABAP
  • Solid understanding of data extraction from SAP and non-SAP systems
  • Familiarity with analytical tools like SAP BusinessObjects or Tableau
  • Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong intercultural competence, high sense of responsibility and creativity
  • Knowledge of SAP BW-IP or SAP BPC embedded would be an advantage
  • Having a basic understanding of SAP SD processes is beneficial
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
