Minerals Resource Management, usually known as MRM, was formed in 2007 by Castle Cement Ltd and Solvent Resource Management Ltd.
Solvent Resource Management have long been one of the world’s leading manufacturers of alternative fuels for the cement industry and Castle Cement have been one of the forerunners in Europe in the consumption of these alternative fuels. |
It was therefore logical that, together, they would look to establish a company that could maximise the recycling potential of inorganic wastes – that would otherwise be destined for landfill – as Alternative Raw Materials for the manufacture of cement.
In pursuing this aim the company treats waste in accordance with the European waste hierarchy and recycles or disposes of it by the best practicable environmental option.
MRM is committed to respecting and protecting the environment and preventing pollution. In doing so its activities will soon be covered by an environmental management system certified to the requirements of ISO 14001.
The company’s objective is excellence in every aspect of the business, whether it is developing new products and processes, enhancing on-site activity or training its workforce to the highest levels. As part of Tradebe MRM has access to a valuable international network of expertise and experience. It is committed to being the leader in its core business, which is the recycling of industrial inorganic waste materials.
MRM’s customer service centre is based at Morecambe in Lancashire which it shares with SRM Ltd. From here it co-ordinates operations for its site in Kirkby, near Liverpool.
