Fletcher Gate is an apartment development in a conservation area in the Lace Market area of Central Nottingham.
Much consultation was sought with the conservation planners by Church Lucas Architects and the client to provide a high quality modern development which complemented the listed buildings adjacent to the project.
The brick choice was one of huge importance and was required to be a multi orange / red with soft subtle colouring to blend with the palette of colour within the locale of Nottingham's central area. After much deliberation the product chosen was the Wharfe Blend, which fitted the criterion required by all parties concerned.
The use of the Wharfe Blend has added to the overall "kerb" appeal of the development which has attracted professional people into the area who desired Inner City living in quality apartments. The development is enhanced by the use of cast stone materials which have been chosen to complement the adjacent properties.
