Low density blocks with good insulating properties ideal for use in external and internal blocks walls. Ultralite can achieve high thermal vales using limited amounts of secondary insulation.Ultralite blocks can be used in all parts of the project above ground and the inner leaf below ground. Their performance makes them suitable for general load bearing conditions, internal partitions and where low weight for handling is important.
Thermal
Ultralite Background blocks have an excellent thermal performance and are therefore able to achieve the high levels of thermal insulation required with the addition of minimal secondary insulation.
Fire Concrete is an excellent fire resistant material. Ultralite Background blocks are manufactured using Class 1 aggregates which provide the highest level of fire resistance for a given size.

*Block weights are calculated using specified dry density, with a moisture content of 3% by weight added to provide the equilibrium value.
**Weight of erected wall (including mortar). Add 11 kg/m² per side for a 2-coat lightweight plaster finish (24 kg/m² for dense plaster).
