Hanson FORMPAVE has its own fleet of Lorries in order to supplement the existing distribution system. The distribution system includes the deployment of local transportation companies.
The fleet joins the Hanson’s UK wide distribution network and supports the company’s commitment to sustainability. Through an optimised service this sees an increase in the number of return loads and a reduction in the total number of miles driven.
The Volvo FH12, 440bhp Lorries have the latest and most environmentally friendly Euro 5 engines. The Lorries meet the stringent emissions standards. They comply with the requirements for the London Low Emission Zone up to and beyond 2012. The Lorries are fitted with an I Shift automatic gearbox that improves fuel efficiency and lessens the environmental impact. The fleet of Lorries is a sound ecological investment for Hanson FORMPAVE.
