Hanson FORMPAVE® announces own fleet of lorries
Hanson FORMPAVE is introducing its own fleet of lorries for the supply of its locally produced block paving products to customers. The existing distribution system includes the deployment of local transportation companies. In order to supplement the existing distribution team, a number of state of the art vehicles will now be based at the company's Coleford plant. This new fleet will join the Hanson's UK wide distribution network. It supports the company's commitment to sustainability. Tthrough an optimised service that sees an increase in the number of return loads and a reduction in the total number of miles driven.
The new Volvo FH12, 440bhp lorries have the latest and most environmentally friendly Euro 5 engines that meet the stringent emissions standards. The lorries comply with the requirements for the London Low Emission Zone up to and beyond 2012. With an I Shift automatic gearbox that improves fuel efficiency and lessens the environmental impact. The fleet of lorries are a sound and ecological investment for Hanson FORMPAVE.
A team of local delivery agents' has been recruited to drive the new fleet. Following a routine induction training course they will be fully trained not only as drivers, but to work alongside the Hanson FORMPAVE customer service team.
