This design attempts to capture the dark, brooding, slate mountain landscapes of Wales.
The slate effects garden uses shades of blue, green and plum combining with a bold monolith water feature. Slate rockery is used to continue the rugged uncompromising mountain theme, complete with lush, natural planting.
The slate rockery will guide the eye towards the corner water feature and creates an attractive path. All the plants have been chosen to complement the colour of the slate and the watery theme. They all grow in dark woodland areas and they’re relatively easy to care for, except the tree ferns which will need to be covered in very cold weather.
