Natural dimensions

Create a natural looking, dried-up river bed effect in your own garden.

This design reflects the simple use of hard landscaping loosely laid with the diagonal path creating the impression of a dried-up stream or river bed. The half-hidden terracotta pots add both height and focus to an otherwise unstructured design and the planting itself is also very loose and natural.
This garden has an organic feel as you wander between the planting. The path would ideally lead to another area such as a pergola or seat. The two pots containing the maple will give height and a little structure to an otherwise very loose design.

The broad leafed aralia will complement the small cobbles and pebbles and give the area some bold colour. We have chosen the periwinkle to provide interesting ground cover as it runs wild between the stones.
