Hanson has been working with BNG Sellafield contracts for over 40 years and is the supplier of choice for sensitive area projects such as fuel rod recycling, waste storage and plutonium stores.
Working with the BNG we have jointly innovated specialist concretes in an on site laboratory including:
- Normal BNG spec structural concrete grades 15 to 60
- Heavyweight shielding - steel shot, iron shot and magnetite
- Lightweight concretes and grouts
- Self compacting concrete
- No fines drainage pavements
- Long line pumping in excess of 500m
- Bespoke engineering of special mixes
where required
Hanson also has excellent working relationships with BNG engineers and an understanding of the product approval process in BNG to ensure projects run on time and within budget.
We also have experience in large scale mock up trials for live contracts and research.
