Hanson Contracting was involved in the design and construction of the Knabs Ridge wind farm near Harrogate. The project, which lasted 22 weeks, was the first development of its kind for Harrogate and powers thousands of local homes with green electricity.
Work carried out my Hanson for the Knabs Ridge project included:
- The construction of 2.2 kilometres of site track
- The construction of new crane pads and laydown areas
- New entrance widening
- The construction of eight reinforced concrete bases
- 2.5 kilometres of on-site cable trenching
- The construction of a new sub station
