Betongindustri now launches the BIDry concept for drying controlled concrete construction. BIDry means that we take control of the moisture in the concrete using:
• a newly developed computer program for drying calculations that provides accurate forecasts for our concrete in all types of structures.
• specially designed and reliable products – TorkBI – tested in most environments.
• our authorised moisture controllers carry out and document all measurements

Our total concept – your security:
Consultation
Betongindustri consults with the contractor as soon as the time schedule for castings and application of mats and other surface layers is set. We then provide information about concrete selection, surface covering, heating and other factors influencing the drying process. The contractor can then forget about the concrete moisture.
BI Dry-forecast
BI Dry includes a completely new computer program that calculates the drying time for all concrete structures. The program considers the temperature development in the concrete, e.g. impact of underfloor heating, heat of hydration and surface covering. BI Dry also computes the compressive strength development of the structure.
Delivery of TorkBI We have calibrated our TorkBI-products – used for a long time in different environments – against the BIDry program in a comprehensive laboratory study at SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden. Furthermore, we have compared BIDry forecasts with actual humidity values obtained in documented measurements conducted in real structures.
Measurement and documentation
Our responsibility does not end until measurements of relative humidity in the structure has been finalised, documented and the humidity requirements set up are fulfilled. We provide authorised moisture controllers in all locations where we operate.
