This design further enhances tank versatility and contains features that satisfy the most demanding requirements of the market. The design is in accordance with the requirements for the highest watertightness classification in the new European Standard, Eurocode 2, part 3: “Liquid retaining and containment structures”. With vertically prestressed panels and the methods of injecting joints and ducts, it is now possible to build tanks with a height of up to 14 metres and a diameter of 70 metres. Mechanised and less labour-intensive installation ensures a safer working environment and the ability to work in almost any weather conditions. The C14 is suitable for most purposes and can be installed almost anywhere: underground, partially buried or at ground level. With the Acontank as a concept, we have over the years erected more than 25 000 tanks, which we today marketing under the name Abetong TankTM.
Abetong Tank C14 uses a concrete that has been especially developed to provide long-term watertight joints. This concrete also encases the plastic-covered strand in the duct, providing full protection against corrosion and physical damage.
