- Sizing, The sizing is the composition of different sizes. It influences on the firmnes of the concrete.
- Roundnes. Rounder aggregates reduces the need for water and cement, as well as it makes the concrete more volume stability. A more "edgy" product gives better grip to the concrete than round products. Gravel (crushed by nature) is rounder than crushed rock, which is more edgy.
- Non-reactivity. Some rock types will under certain circumstances react chemically with the concrete. To obtain a non-reactive concrete you must either use non-reactive aggregates or use special bindings. NorStone is produsing non-reactive aggregates.
