The Norwegian mountains contain some of the oldest sorts of stone in the world. Here you will find the bedrock itself, which was formed billions of years ago by hardened, liquid material from the inner earth. The bedrock is of a particularly good quality concerning compressive strength and durability.
NorStone has acquired the rights to valuable deposits of Norwegian stone and sand, to exploit the unique qualities of the Norwegian mountains.
Our hard stone quarries and gravel pits supply high-quality crushed stone, gravel and sand to the building and construction market.
We break stone and extract gravel. We transport the material for coarse crushing and fine crushing. We sieve, supervise, mix, inspect and deliver high-quality aggregates with stable quality in various grades.
We split the material into grades and mix compounds of curves according to the requirements of the client. Our laboratory controls the quality of the product and supplies the client with a declaration of quality.
NorStone produces aggregates for asphalt and concrete. We deliver railway track ballast, material for road building and for protection of oil and gas pipelines. We have long experience as suppliers of aggregates for concrete platforms, bridges and other concrete constructions, where high-quality is required.
NorStone has ten production sites, six sites in western Norway and four sites in south-eastern Norway.
Nord-Fosen Pukkverk is a subsidiary to NorStone, and is located in Sør-Trøndelag in middle Norway.
Our products is produced both from solid rock and from deposits. NorStone also have two sales and storage sites in Rogaland.
