Sustainability is part of the management culture
Our Group-wide Leadership Principles lay the foundation for a common management culture. For the managers, they are both an orientation aid and a guideline; they should assure the employees that management at HeidelbergCement is based on shared, firm principles.
In June 2008, after the acquisition and integration of Hanson, we revised our Leadership Principles and adapted them to the current circumstances. We have incorporated our commitment to sustainable development into the Leadership Principles. As a Group, we feel responsible for creating safe and healthy jobs for our employees and also for promoting environmental protection. In addition, sustainability means taking social responsibility at our locations worldwide.
Besides the focus on comprehensive efficiency, sustainable profitability, a strong emphasis on customers and earnings-oriented growth, sustainable development now also forms a focal point of our management culture.
