HeidelbergCement confirms inspection by EU Antitrust Authority

We confirm that the EU Antitrust Authority has searched premises at HeidelbergCement’s headquarters in Heidelberg and offices in the UK and Benelux.

HeidelbergCement is fully cooperating with the authorities.

Since 2005, HeidelbergCement has significantly extended its Compliance Programme against cartel law violations and set up an independent Group Compliance Management. A newly created compliance function at Group level co-ordinates the compliance efforts across the Group.

Our compliance efforts focus on the area of cartel law. A special Competition Law Guideline gives clear and compulsory instructions for correct external conduct with respect to cartel law. Our employees are familiarised with these regulations through training and regular information. A compliance hotline offers every employee the opportunity to contact competent advisors with compliance concerns in confidence.
