HeidelbergCement has been present in North America since 1977, when it purchased Lehigh Cement Company. Today Lehigh Cement belongs to the most important companies in its field and offers its customers a wide range of high quality cement, aggregates, and ready-mixed concrete products, as well as prefabricated concrete elements.

The market
Our facilities are located throughout the United States, with the exception of the inter-mountain west. We are especially strong in the high growth areas along the East and West Coasts and the Gulf Coast regions of Texas and Florida.
Lehigh Cement is the only major international cement producer with modern preheater technology in all its grey portland cement plants in the United States. In addition to various types of grey cement, Lehigh also produces white cement. We operate a strong terminal network which facilitates imports from international sources and allows for efficient domestic distribution of cement to maintain or improve market share. Our large ready mix truck fleet and supply of portable batch plants helps deliver our quality concrete products on time.
