Overview
In 1999, HeidelbergCement acquired its operations in Norway and is market leader in the cement and concrete business there. The Norwegian companies produce cement, ready-mixed concrete, aggregates and alternative fuels.

Our subsidiary Norcem is the only cement producer in Norway with plants in Brevik in southern Norway, and Kjøpsvik in the northern part. The ready-mixed concrete plants are located in all major towns and regions in the southern part of Norway.
Some of the world’s largest constructions are the oil platforms in the North Sea. These are built with building materials from our Norwegian companies. The rugged coast of Norway, with its many fjords and islands, is also linked with a vast number of tunnels and bridges made of concrete.
