Duna-Dráva Cement operates in the Hungarian cement market through two plants – Vác and Beremend – producing various types of cement. Located near the Hungarian capital of Budapest, on the river Danube, the Vác plant is distinguished by its long tradition and also by the quality of its limestone resources, rated the purest in the country. The Beremend plant is located in the southern part of the country and has nearly a century long tradition. HeidelbergCement has invested significantly in modernization and improvement at both plants, beginning with new kiln technology in Vác, representing the highest technical standards in Hungary, and bringing major improvements in environmental protection. Currently, the clinker production of the Beremend plant is being modernized and capacity extended with the aim of cost leadership and strengthening the company’s competitiveness as well as reducing emissions. Duna-Dráva Cement is the leader on the Hungarian building materials market.
Ready mixed concrete activities in Hungary are carried out by TBG Hungária, a company owned by Duna-Dráva Cement. Currently, TBG Hungária operates 37 ready-mixed concrete plants.
HeidelbergCement and Schwenk operate seven aggregates plants mainly in the vicinity of Budapest. Our company Dunai Kavicsüzemek is in the ownership of Duna-Dráva Cement and TBG Hungaria.
