I worked in Group Strategy and Development (GSD) during my 5-months internship program at HeidelbergCement. My assignment is mostly about competitor analysis. Gaining experience by working in an international company like HeidelbergCement has broaden my knowledge, skills and perspective especially about company’s competitors. I believe it will be useful experience for continuing my study in Business Administration major when I go back to Indonesia.
I also had a wonderful time visiting the plant in Leimen. Moreover, it is a new experience for me working with people from different cultural background. Helpful colleagues motivated me in my practical placements and created a very pleasant working environment. I found it very interesting and it will be unforgettable for me!

As an IT intern with Lehigh Cement I have the opportunity to learn more about various IT systems and programs like On Demand, the Share Point and Project Servers. I am also involved in several IT projects that are ongoing at the moment. For example I am responsible for the development of training topics and lessons on how to use the Share Point.
I really enjoy the internship program here at Lehigh Cement and it is a great possibility for me to learn a lot in a short time. This internship program is a good preparation for my future career and it gives me an impression of the work environment which is very contrary to the more structured school environment. Working at Lehigh is not what I expected – it is much better!
