Cement HeidelbergCement operates three plants in the Kasdi and Rustavi Regions. Kartuli Cementi Ltd is the owner of the plant with capacity 0.4 million tones per year in Rustavi, HeidelbergCement Georgia (former SaqCementi) manages two plants in Kaspi and Rustavi with a capacity of 1.6 million tones per year.
HeidelbergCement has its places of distribution in Tbilisi and almost in all regions of Georgia. In Aipril, 2011 company put into operation Cement Terminal in Supsa, from which cement is delievered to the facilities placed at the Black Sea Coastal strip. Besides the domestic market, HeidelbergCement Georgia exports to Azerbaijan.
The main investments of HeidelbergCement in Georgia are for plant modernization, which gives an opportunity to increase whole capacity up to 7-8 million tones for the future. HeidelbergCementCaucasus Ltd manages mentioned plants and companies and is located in Tbilisi as headquarters.
