HeidelbergBeton Georgia put into operation new mobile concrete plant

HeidelbergCement group continues expansion on the Georgian market. On September 16, the Group member company – HeidelbergBeton Georgia started operation of a new mobile concrete plant in Rustavi. The plant is located on the construction site of car marketplace belonging to “Caucasus Autohouse”.

The Mobile Plant with the capacity of 80m³ p/h is the part of HeidelbergBeton strategy of covering remote areas outside of Tbilisi with fully mobile concrete plants, that would offer construction companies:

• High output 
• Fast assembly
• No needed for fundaments
• Full mobility to relocate the wheel chassis plant over a construction site
• Fully independent solution with high capacity spare water tank and a generator

With specially equipped mobile laboratory machine, HeidelbergBeton certified laboratory assures concrete quality and permanent control. 

Over the period of the last 3 years, HeidelbergBeton makes a step forward to expansion every year:

• April 2009 – Launching of first concrete plant in Ponichala, Tbilisi
•  April 2010 – Opening of the second batching plant in Gldani, Tbilisi
•  September 2011 – Startup of mobile concrete plant business

Currently, with 1 mobile and 2 stationary plants, HeidelbergBeton has the biggest capacity in Georgia, being able to produce, deliver and pump 240 m³ per hour.
