In 2000, the plant was privatized and named JSC Kaspicementi. Plant restoration works took place in the years 2000-2006. This investment was successfully accomplished in 2006 and led to annual production of 571.700 tones of clinker and 402.700 tones of cement. History of Rustavi plant:The works of cement plant construction in Rustavi began in 1952. The first output was attained in 1956. Average annual rated capacity of M-400 type cement was 308.000 tons and of clinker - 616.000 tons. In 1994, the plant was privatized and named JSC Rustavcementi. In 1995-1996, new electric filters for grinding mills and new cement-packing machine were installed.Plants history with HeidelbergCement:Kaspi and Rustavi plants were merged under the common corporate name – SaqCementi Ltd.
