The Tiouine dam in Morocco was built by the Société générale des travaux du Maroc (SGTM) between 2010 and 2013. It is 84 m high, and has a reservoir volume of 270 million m3. Its purpose is to supply drinking water to the city of Ouarzazate.

HeidelbergCement’s subsidiary Ciments du Maroc delivered 55,000 tonnes of low alkali cement for the project, produced by the Marrakesh plant.
