Stonecutters Bridge, Hong Kong
The Stonecutters Bridge is a high-level cable-stayed bridge spanning the Rambler Channel in Hong Kong and connecting Nam Wan Kok, Tsing Yi, and Stonecutters Island as part of Route 8, which links Tsing Yi and Cheung Sha Wan.
The Stonecutters Bridge has a total length of 1,596 m and a clearance of 73.5 m. With a main span of more than 1,000 m, it boasts the second-longest cable-stayed span in the world.
It is winner of the Institution of Structural Engineers’ Supreme Award.
