Glass facade of a skyscraper

Sarajevo City Center (SCC)

Construction of the Sarajevo City Center, one of the biggest business projects in Bosnia-Herzegovina, started in 2009. It was built on the basis of top-quality architectural and construction solutions, and represents a distinguishing landmark not only for Sarajevo, but for Bosnia and Herzegovina and the entire region.

Sarajevo City Center consists of four separate but complementary parts: modern five-star hotel, business and office section, shopping center with entertainment complex, and underground garage covering the whole footprint of the SCC, the full usable area of which totals 69,000 m2.

The shopping center with hyper-market and entertainment area covers around 38,000 m2, and lies parallel to the main city boulevard. All shops on the ground, first, and second floors are located along a pedestrian promenade integrated into a single complex.

The hotel is in the southwest of Sarajevo City Center. It features 18 above-ground floors with 220 single and double executive-class rooms, as well as exclusive king suites, restaurants, coffee bars, pools, wellness, and other luxurious facilities.

The SCC business tower grows from the 5th to 17th floor of the center, and offers more than 6,000 m2 of rentable area. Access to office spaces of different sizes and purposes is available through three entrances – from the northern or southern sides via crossing pedestrian routes or via the main promenade. Main access to the business and office section, which offers a direct view to the Parliament and Government district of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is via the main square.

More than 1,100 parking places are available on 5 floors in the underground garage, which was built in accordance with the most modern parking technology systems.

The contractor engaged by the investor was award-winning construction company ANS Drive, which put its trust in HeidelbergCement’s subsidiary TBG BH as a top quality supplier of concrete for the project. We delivered around 80,000 m3 of ready-mixed concrete in total.
