Update Managing Board structure

Dr. Bernd Scheifele appointed for a further five years – Dr. Dominik von Achten becomes Deputy Chairman of the Managing Board of HeidelbergCement

The Supervisory Board of HeidelbergCement AG has decided to amend the structure of the Managing Board with the position of a Deputy Chairman. Effective 1 February 2015, Dr. Dominik von Achten, member of the Managing Board in charge of the North America Group area, Group Purchasing and the Competence Center Materials, has been appointed Deputy Chairman of the Managing Board. Also on 1 February 2015 the extension of the Managing Board agreement of Dr. Bernd Scheifele, Chairman of the Managing Board, by a further five years became effective.

Fritz-Jürgen Heckmann, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of HeidelbergCement AG, explains after the meeting on 10 February 2015: “HeidelbergCement is very glad that both, Dr. Scheifele and Dr. von Achten, together with the management and employees of the company, will continue their successful work of the past years. This step will guarantee continuity in the years to come as well as a trusting and constructive cooperation between Supervisory Board and Managing Board.”
