Nándor Hidegkuti Stadium

Nándor Hidegktui Stadium, home of European football’s MTK Budapest FC, has been completely rebuilt. The new stadium has a capacity of 5,500 seats.

In 2015, MTK’s games saw an average of 1,500 spectators. This development thus aims to increase attendance nearly fourfold.

The stadium is located in Budapest, Hungary. ZÁÉV Építőipari Zrt. and West Hungária Bau Kft. were commissioned for the reconstruction project. 95% of the project’s ready-mixed concrete was supplied from DDC’s Basa plant. Duna-Dráva Cement Kft. (DDC) is a joint venture of HeidelbergCement. For several reasons, C30/37 type concrete proved the best for the job. Its high strength, for instance, makes it ideally suited to the static requirements of the project, and because of its high cement pulp content, the visible concrete surfaces made from it are exceptionally aesthetic.

In total, our concrete plant produced and supplied 13,000 m³ of ready-mixed concrete, from which different structural concretes, concrete slabs, and visible concrete surfaces were made.

The stadium's opening ceremony was held in October 2016.
