Highway El Jadida-Safi

The highway between El Jadida and Safi runs in a straight line for 143 km, and includes 6 interchanges and three bridges.

This important motorway connects the Doukkalah-Abda region to neighbouring regions through a modern highway infrastructure, adding dynamics to the economic development of the Safi province, home to substantial economic potential.

82 km were constructed by Turkish company Nurol. The project is part of the Moroccan highway network, which is considered to be the densest in North Africa.

Work began in 2013 and was completed in 2016. HeidelbergCement’s subsidiary Ciments du Maroc supplied 90,000 tonnes of cement from the Safi plant and 105,000 tonnes of cement from the Marrakesh plant.
