Fiona Stanley Hospital

The AUD 2 billion (EUR 1.6 billion) Fiona Stanley Hospital is the largest building infrastructure project ever undertaken by the Western Australian Government.

It is located approximately 15 km south of the Perth CBD and 9 km east of Fremantle. The location of the hospital was chosen for its proximity to a growing southern metropolitan population, as well as for its nearby health and learning institutes.

The hospital has 150,000 m2 of floor space over five main buildings, with 6,300 rooms and 783 beds, including 140 rehabilitation beds. There are also 3,600 basement, ground level, and multi-storey car parking bays. The project required approximately 150,000 m³ concrete in total, with Hanson supplying approximately 60,000 m³ over the construction period.
