The Casablanca tramway, Morocco, was opened to the public in December 2012. It is the second tramway to be built in Morocco, and features a Y-shaped layout with 48 stops over a length of 31 km.

Work started in 2016 on tram line 2 (T2) an extension of the first line (T1) already operational along the tramway. It will have two interchanges with line T1 and include a total of 33 stations.

HeidelbergCement’s subsidiary Ciments du Maroc delivered 30,000 tonnes of cement and 146,000 m3 of concrete for this major infrastructure project. Line T2 will encompass over 126,000 m3 of concrete, also delivered by Ciments du Maroc.
