Casablanca Fishing Port
The Port of Casablanca is the largest in Morocco. In addition to a fishing port, it consists of a commercial port and a marina, as well as facilities and infrastructure for ship repairs.
Launched by HM King Mohammed VI, construction of the new Casablanca Fishing Port is part of the "Wessal Casablanca Port” project, which aims to modernise the current port infrastructure. It will double the size of the fishing port to 12 ha of harbour and 7.6 ha of land area.
Work began in February 2015, and is expected to be completed in early 2017. HeidelbergCement’s subsidiary Ciments du Maroc will supply a total of 135,000 m3 of ready-mixed concrete for this project.
