Operations

Scancem International / HC Africa is operating in eight sub-Saharan countries including ownership, operation and management of:

• integrated cement plants where locally available limestone and other raw materials through high temperature kilns are converted into clinker and then grinded to cement.
• grinding plants where imported clinker are grinded into cement.
• terminals where we import cement by vessels.

The local companies are responsible for sales and distribution of local brands of cement in bags and bulk in their markets.
