Terms and conditions

We offer terms and conditions that are highly competitive. The international assignment package includes i.a free family accommodation, car, 6 weeks annual leave and, depending on marital status, at least one return airfare per year of service to the home country.

We have good pension and insurance schemes, and education for schoolchildren is strongly subsidised. Expatriates who are able to go on a "family status" will often be favoured. Before commencing on a new assignment in a foreign country the expatriate and the spouse will be taken through an introduction programme in Oslo. Topics discussed include cultural differences, educational systems, social and leisure life abroad, healthcare and security and last but not least, aspects such as fear of the unknown.

In addition there will be focus on special local country knowledge. Sometimes it is necessary to "brush up" the language competence before going on assignment. This is taken care of by 1-3 weeks intensive language studies in a relevant country during the introduction period.
